Coco de Mer Cinchers

So sometime in the middle of December, I packed a bag of corset samples and took a trip to London.  I was to visit Lucy Litwack, CEO of famous luxury lingerie boutique, Coco-de-Mer.  A pretty amazing woman if you look her up on that font of all knowledge - Google!

I wont lie, it was a bit nerve wracking, but she and her staff were adorable and we had alorra lorra fun trying on corsets that morning!

And so a deal was done, and yesterday I sent off a number of 'Ophis' leather and sheer cinchers to them.  Ophis is the Greek word for snake, but I had to laugh when a typo on the purchase order named them 'Orphis' .. quite apt for a store full of erotica!

The cinchers are made from a lovely leather with snakey texture, and sheer nylon net.  They have tubular viscose boning channels on the inside, covered with leather on the outside.  This makes the channels soft, comfortable and very strong.

The cinch is exactly what you might expect from my corsetry.  Dramatic, comfortable and elegant.  At the meeting it was generally agreed - 'why wear a corset if it isn't dramatic?'.

I'm really proud that a store with this pedigree has considered my work worthy for sale - it's been a long journey here, and a lot of hard work, not to mention blood, sweat, obsession, tantrums and tears!  Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined being at this spot at this time.  A great end to 2017!

These lovely cinchers are now available in store in Covent Garden at the bargain price of £365.00 each.  If you're in London, nip along, try one on, and put one on your Christmas list!
